Patients With AFib
Are at an Increased
Risk of Stroke.
When blood thinners (anticoagulants) aren’t enough or cause issues that affect your quality of life, left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) therapy might be an option.
An LAAO procedure seals off the left atrial appendage, preventing blood clots from entering the bloodstream. It provides a safe and effective alternative for patients who cannot tolerate long-term use of blood thinners.
